You ask, we answer
What is the core purpose of Friends of Uganda (FoU)?
FoU is a transformative, citizen-driven national initiative designed to transcend political divisions and foster sustainable peace, unity, and national preservation during Uganda’s 2026 electoral cycle and beyond. Our core message is that our shared Ugandan identity is paramount and permanent.
Is FoU affiliated with any political party or candidate?
No. Our core value is Political Neutrality. We are absolutely non-partisan in all operations and communications, positioning ourselves above party politics to emphasize the collective national interest.
How does FoU plan to address hate speech and social division?
We plan to Counter Hate Speech by establishing real-time monitoring and counter-narrative systems, aiming to reduce hate speech incidents by 40% in target districts through rapid-response “Peace Speech” campaigns.
Who are the main people FoU is trying to reach?
Your primary beneficiaries are the Youth and First-Time Voters (Ages 18-35), as they are crucial for long-term transformation, along with the General Ugandan Citizenry across all regions, ethnicities, and affiliations.
What is a "Baraza for Peace"?
A “Baraza for Peace” is a safe, neutral platform for constructive dialogue. We aim to facilitate 500+ community dialogues, bringing together 50,000+ citizens from opposing political groups for structured reconciliation conversations to Bridge Political Divides.
Become a Friend of Uganda and a Peace Ambassador.
The future of Uganda depends on our collective action. Join us in prioritizing Peace, Unity, and National Preservation above partisan politics, fulfilling our slogan: Our nation, Our shared responsibility.
